A space for playing and awakening attention, to inner and outer connections in the body, into the space and with other movers. Mobilising a fluid and ‘listening’ body through release, sensing weight, and following pathways of movement with access to a range of qualities, musicality and possibilities. We will play and explore on our own and together in improvisation, floor work, movement sequences and phrases travelling through space.
This workshop invites you to be part of creating and playing with choreographic material and developing a performative practice, with focus on individual and collective groove
. In explorations of groove
, as a musical concept and musical-physical interactive phenomenon, we will inhabit and develop movement scores and material, with focus on bodily listening, the push and pull of groove, and perception of rhythm. There will also be a performance/sharing of the group’s work by the end of the week.
