HOW DO YOU GET TO PERFORM AT THE KUOPIO DANCE FESTIVAL?

Are you a dance professional with a company that has experience appearing in international arenas, and who would like to perform in Kuopio? Have a look at our programme, facilities and technology. If you feel your submission would fit in with our festival programme, send us a proposal. Any open-minded approaches are welcome!

MAIN PROGRAMME 2011

Tell us about
- the piece you are proposing, your company, your CV
- the events in which you have performed in recent years & planned appearences in the near future
- the kind of space you would need for your performance - lighting, sound and other technical requirements
- the financial and other conditions of the performance; size of the company, fee, copyright and other issues
- your proposal for financing international travel - any existing partners etc.
- any workshops or other ancillary offerings
- anything else you feel is relevant

Please include in your portfolio any major press clippings, brochures, DVDs etc.

Please send your proposal to the Festival Office between March and August.

If your proposal impresses us, we’ll be in touch.
We will need to see your company perform before any further negotiations.

HARBOUR MARKET SQUARE EVENTS 17. - 23.6.2010 at 11.00 hrs

The outdoor stage on the market square is a non-stop performance forum in with a collaborative attitude for dance and music students, amateurs and professionals.

Please send in your proposal (company/performance name, number of people, duration etc.)
We will provide an outdoor stage with the usual facilities, communications, and marketing. The companies are responsible for their own members’ expenses.

ELÄKE-FENNIA FORUM 17. - 23.6.2010 at 17.15 hrs

Hall of Light in the Music Centre (main performances start at 18.00 hrs in the Concert Hall)
An adaptable performance forum for professionals and students in the spirit of cooperation.
We will provide the venue (an open dance floor with mats adjacent to the cafe), sound system, communications, marketing etc. The companies are responsible for their members’ expenses.
