Jin Xing is the most celebrated contemporary dancer in China. She presents her choreographies with Jin Xing Dance Theatre worldwide as well as in her home Shanghai. Her dance company’s unmistakable style and innovative modern dance elements have gradually brought this group into the artistic spotlight of China and rest of the world.

Skånes Dansteater is the largest free-standing dance institution in Sweden. Susanna Leinonen has created this piece especially for Skånes Dansteater. During the last years she has choreographed also for the Finnish National Ballet, the Swedish Royal Ballet and her own company. Jorma Uotinen´s piece for the company is accompanied by Finnish hard rock band Nightwish, arranged for Malmö Opera Orchestra and Choir (tape). Jonas Nydesjö has adapted the world famous Nightwish´s music into a complex musical medley.

Danish choreographer Palle Granhøj has achieved international recognition for his personal style, based on the Obstruction Technique, shown in many original creations the last 20 years. Granhøj Dans´ new piece is with words and music by Leonard Cohen, the acoustics
of eight musicians and the stage presence of Palle Granhøj. The resulting piece can be seen as a selfportrait; a presentation of the choreographer and the company and its development during many years of constant and committed work within dance art.
